BEACHES PDF Print E-mail

Our playground has some of the best beaches in Australia ( probably in the world).

Some of my favorite beaches (Plus other spots to get wet) include...

.Kiama Municipality

The Boneyard beach, Easts Beach.(Kiama lighthouse... Rock Pool is worth a swim in to also as it is well flushed by the ocean having good views looking north).

Shoalhaven Shire.

Jervis Bay Area.

(Beaches Generally more sheltered and within a Marine Park where dolphin cruises operate.)

Northern side of Pt Perpendicular

Currarong ,Honeymoon Bay and camping area good for young chidren with parent supervission, bush walk toTarget Beach which is as safe for swimming (However can be good for surf boaders if South East swell running) & Boat Harbour Beach.Walk to Silca beach can be pleasant and sheltered if North Easterly wind blowing.

Southern side of Jervis Bay

Huskisson south east of Huskisson Hotel and neaby playground is delightfull Moona Moona beach.

Vincentia area  white sands walk links Blenheim & Greenfields Beach's to Chinamans Beach all open to north Easterly winds but protected partially from southern & westerly winds.

Hyams Beach.Supposedly has worlds whitest sand...you be the judge...

Bouderi Park> Green Patch beach and camping area, Murrays Beach  looks north to Bowen Island ( landing on island is illegall due to protected Fairy Penquin coloney), bush walk to Whiting Beach although Steamers Beach (not recommended for swimming.( OK for surfer boarders if swell from South East).

Ulladulla Area

( Renowned for good surfing  waves).

Mollymook ,( Northern end), Narrawallee ( Southern end). Both these areas patrolled by lifsavers during peak summer ( So please remember to swim between flags).

Please note that Narrawalle Inlet entance can be dangerous for swimmers depending on tide & swell .

Rips often occure on beach area immediately north of the Inlet to.

So please avoid these areas immediately bove as their have been a number of incidents in the past.

It's safer to swim well inside Narrawalle inlet using beaches on an incoming high tide.

The "Bogie hole" south of Mollymook Golf club is ideal for young children with parent supervission... just  north of near Collers Beach.

North of Ulladulla.

Further Nth out at Bendalong:-

Both North & South Bendalong have a number of a number of very nice beaches, such as  Boat Harbour Beach area plus Flat Rock Beach which is particulary nice.

South of Ulladulla

Further South out at Kiola:-

South Durras Murramarang Beach ; Chain beach nearer  Batemans Bay, southern beaches include  Sunshine Bay, Lilli Pilli Beach - more receptive to north easterly swell, Maulua Bay, Mossy Point /Candalagon Creek Beach ,South Broulee Surf Beach.

South of Narooma to Mystery Bay ...has a nice beach.

Bega Valley

Bermaguie main beach...in Horseshoe Bay (Also the "Blue Pool"...south east of Bermaguie a swimming pool), and Cuttagee Beach further south.
